Hi there!
My name is Abdullah Ahmed, a Game Designer with passion of creating experiences that educate, engage and develop the player’s skills while expanding their knowledge.
I’m working as Game Designer at Lamsa, one of the most awarded EdTech startups in MENA region, whose popular app is used daily by thousands of children.
With a natural flair for creativity, I have extensive experience in game and product design, as well as leadership roles. I have a hunger for problem-solving and am constantly learning new tools and meeting new people to improve my craft.

2022 – Present

Game Designer – Lamsa
  • Designed K-12 games and activities that align with learning objectives and curriculum outlines, enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Created comprehensive design documentation outlining game mechanics and features, ensuring clear communication and efficient development processes.
  • Ensured game balance through iterative testing and adjustments, maintaining a fair and enjoyable experience for the target audience.
  • Built and tested prototypes to validate game concepts and mechanics.
  • Conducted QA sessions to ensure learning objectives are met and playtesting sessions are effective.

2021 – 2022

Game Designer / Developer – Legends of Learning
  • Designed and developed HTML5 (web) instructional games for K-12.
  • Managed project timelines, resources, and team coordination to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitored KPIs to track progress and measure the success of the educational game.
  • Successfully developed three educational games that achieved top chart rankings based on both student and teacher ratings.

2018 – 2019

Game Designer / Developer – GIZ
  • Designed & developed a persuasive game about work ethics for blue collars.
  • Managed project timelines, resources, and team coordination to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conducted playtesting sessions to gather feedback and refine game mechanics and user experience.
